The fastest Electric Skateboard – NGV Nextboard – 68 MPH

The trophy goes to Nextboards NGV for the fastest electric skateboard. This speed angel has a maximum speed of 68 miles per hour! Now that’s freaggin’ fast for a skateboard. It even won a Guinness World Record for the feat. Right now, the NGV website is not available, otherwise, we would’ve put up links to it.

We decided not to include it in our list of the fastest electric skateboards because of unavailability. However, whenever the website is up, we’ll put up the links. Meanwhile, enjoy the video below.

Well, the NGV might be the fastest electric skateboard, but we also bring you a list of fast electric skateboards. So here we go!

Skatebolt Breeze 2 Electric Skateboard

According to Skatebolt, the Breeze 2 is their “most dynamic bestselling e-board”. The Breeze 2 is Skatebolt’s flagship electric skateboard and boasts superior design from premium materials. The deck is solidly constructed from a combination of bamboo and two layers of glass fiber. This combination makes this board sturdy, durable, and strong, presenting a balance between flexibility and strength.

This skateboard can achieve a maximum speed of 28 miles per hour and a maximum range of 15 miles. This is made possible by the dual 350-watt motors. It is also capable of climbing inclines as steep as 30^o. Now that’s impressive!

There’s also a powerful 6,000mAh Samsung 30Q lithium battery that powers the device. With the included charger, you can fill up the battery banks quickly.

There’s a nice feature called “Regenerative braking”, which helps to charge the battery as you are cruising downhill. In addition, this board has 4-speed modes to enable just about any skill-level rider to ride comfortably.

The Breeze 2 is easy to ride; just slide it and it automatically switches on, ready for the ride. There’s also Cruise Control, a nice feature that allows the rider to maintain a steady speed by pressing the LED button on the remote controller.

This is one feature-loaded electric skateboard with faster speed output. The Spadger D5X lets you move around in style and does that excellently too.

Now the construction of the deck is made from military-grade materials, making it highly durable and sturdy. According to the manufacturer, the board is fireproof, explosion-proof, and shockproof. It is super flexible, especially when negotiating turns.

The board is powered by dual 450-watt motors which translate to a maximum speed of 23 miles per hour, and a range of up to 12 miles. Of course, the range is dependent on a number of factors, including the weight of the rider, and the topography of the region.

The D5X can ramp up to 23 miles per hour in just 3.5 seconds! That’s remarkable. Furthermore, there are 4-speed modes for every rider, whether you’re a rookie or a pro.  It has beginner mode, eco mode, expert mode, and pro mode. You won’t have issues handling this board because each speed mode has a different speed setting, the beginner being the slowest.

The D5X is equipped with nice LED lighting for night riding, and it can be controlled from the remote control. It has 30 different light modes. What about the power section? The H6 is powered by an insane dual 1kw motors, which translates to a combined output of 2000 watts. Together, this twin powerhouse is capable of giving you a maximum throughput of up to 25 miles per hour.

Expect this machine to achieve up to 19 miles on a single charge, although you may be able to squeeze out more mileage, depending on a variety of factors including your weight, the topography of your area, and the type of wheels you are using.

The 6,600mAh battery takes roughly 2 hours to fill up. What about hills? The H6 can comfortably negotiate inclines as steep as 25^o. Of course, this is dependent on your weight. And, talking of weight, it can carry a maximum weight of 286lbs.

In addition, with your purchase, you get a protective set and a one-year warranty. Their support staff is also friendly and prompt. However, we found out that the rated output of 2000 watts is not the actual rating. You will likely see 400 watts for each hub motor. Well, even if the actual rating is 800watts, this machine is capable of attaining 25 miles per hour, and that’s what’s important.

By a long shot, this isn’t the fastest electric skateboard but is quite speedy and responsive.

Skatebolt Tornado Pro Electric Longboard

According to Skatebolt, its mission is to “offer electronic skateboards that are safe, convenient, and affordable”. This is evident in the quality and performance indices of the Tornado Pro, their flagship electric skateboard. The Tornado Pro is a sibling of the Skatebolt Breeze 2, reviewed above.

The deck is sturdy and is made with 8 layers of northeast maple, providing a solid and appropriately flexible platform that supports up to 280lbs of deadweight. For speed, the Tornado Pro can attain a maximum speed of up to 25 miles per hour.

The battery is a hefty 7,500mAh which if fully charged, is capable of attaining a maximum range of 18.6 miles on a single charge. For handling, the Tornado Pro is quite easy to handle for any skill level. It has 4 speed and brake modes which allows even a novice to handle the craft.

There’s also its cruise control feature which can be accessed via the handy and easy-to-use remote control. It keeps you updated on the speed, battery power, range, and brake modes of your current riding session.

This board can climb inclines as steep as 25^o comfortably without breaking a sweat. In addition, when riding at night, there’re tail lights that help you navigate by lighting up when you brake.

On the downside, the board is kinda heavy – weighing in at 19.5lbs. Also, the slow mode is too slow. It could use some updates to make it go a little bit faster.

Overall, this is a decent enough board for the price. But then, it’s up to you to decide whether it’s your choice.

Boosted Mini X Electric Skateboard

The Mini X is one small but mighty board from Boosted with solid engineering for maximum performance and handling.  The Boosted Mini X is one of their boards, in addition to the Stealth. These are their high-end flagship electric skateboards, and we dare say, they are well worth the money.

The Mini X has excellent ease of handling and is quite responsive, whether you are cruising or commuting from point to point. Don’t let the size fool you; this board is rated at a top speed of 20 miles per hour and can go up to 14 miles on a charge. This is made possible by a super belt drive system that propels the 80 mm wheels. In addition, there are 3-speed modes for an enhanced riding experience. This gives room for beginners as well as more experienced riders.

The deck is superbly engineered with tough and resilient materials. Also, the unique Deep Dish concave shape locks your feet in position so you can dig in for good enough handling and responsiveness. What about hills? The Mini X can negotiate 20% grade hills, so you never have to worry about loss of power while doing that.

The brakes are equipped with regenerative braking technology which allows you to recharge the batteries while on the move. What about portability? This is quite a nimble board that is quite easy to haul around, except that the weight is on the high side, at 16.8lbs. On the other hand, its weight capacity is rated at 250lbs, though we found out it can carry heftier guys, like Shaquille O’Neal who weighs up to 325lbs.

The motors are primed to deliver enough torque for your commutes all day long, and it really gets you going! Braking is smooth and responsive, thanks to its precision belt drive motors. In addition, its batteries charge quite fast; they go from 0 to 100 in just 1 hour and 45 minutes!

The included remote controller is quite intuitive and handy for controlling this craft. As per speed, though it’s not as fast as other boards listed here, we still think it deserves a place in our list of fastest electric skateboards.

To crown it all, the Mini X allows you to monitor your speed and other vital statistics. The Boosted Mini X is a super portable board. If you are a fan of Boosted, it’s yours for the taking.

This skateboard deserves a mention in our list of the fastest electric skateboards, though it’s not the fastest. Nevertheless, it is well built for skateboarding fun.  It features a strong yet flexible deck carefully crafted to carry a maximum weight of 280lbs.

This machine can reach a maximum speed of 25 miles per hour and range of up to 10 miles on a single charge. In addition, it can climb hills up to 30% inclination. The chassis is designed to be water-resistant, but that doesn’t mean you should immerse it in water lol.

There are 3 driving modes that make it easy to control, whether you are a beginner or an advanced rider. The wireless remote also comes in handy for controlling acceleration, reverse acceleration, and battery status. If darkness overtakes you on the ride, you can easily switch on the headlamps for easy navigation.

The Epikgo surely is a good choice with decent speed for any level of rider, and it’s quite affordable too. Finally, there’s a 1-year warranty attached to your purchase, which means you’re eligible in the first year of purchase for a replacement if something bad happens to the board.

Azbo Y8 Off-Road Electric Skateboard

This happens to be the only off-road electric longboard in this roundup, and it’s also Azbo’s flagship longboard. The off-road wheels of the board are tough pneumatic tires with 7.8 inches in diameter and a studded tread pattern. It provides extra traction and floatation. This machine glides over most unfriendly terrain including gravel driveways, small potholes, and even muddy patches of grass.
